Gateway Consumer Credit Counseling Service is a national, non-profit program. CCCS helps people get out of debt, avoid bankruptcy and learn to manage their money. Gateway’s CCCS can help you regain control without having to resort to drastic measures like bankruptcy that will affect you for many years to come. CCCS will help you evaluate your situation, determine your needs and devise a budget. CCCS will work with your creditors and establish a repayment plan. The Birmingham Center for Affordable Housing is a catalyst and resource which helps people increase their access to affordable housing, creating viable, self-directed communities. With a small but skilled and dedicated staff, the Center has gained national recognition for its work in assisting first-time homebuyers to purchase and retain their homes. The Center provides comprehensive housing counseling services including:
